I've been communicating with a lot of people
over Skype lately. Moving to Florida's biggest
drawback was leaving so many people behind.
But a new laptop (currently playing The Jerk)
with a webcam makes friends in Indiana and Washington
look and sound like they're in the same room.
Pretty nice. I got to see one friend's tiny
little baby for the first time, and another
friend's new dog, and all without having to
hold a cell phone up to my ear. It's tempting
to think about pulling a Forgetting Sarah Marshall
and put some theatrical backdrops behind me
for extra drama. Wheeee, I'm calling you from
spaaaaace..... You get the idea.
