DeviantArt requires its members to be at least 18 years old to view mature content, such as nudity and depictions of violence. If the age associated with your account is over 18 and you still can't see adult material, you'll need to enable the feature in the Android app or at DeviantArt.com. Younger members will need to create a new account with an age older than 18 to have access to this feature. This wikiHow teaches you how to update your DeviantArt account settings so you can view mature content on your computer, phone, or tablet.
Method 1
Method 1 of 3:
Using DeviantArt.com in a Web Browser
Download Article
1
Navigate to https://www.deviantart.com in a web browser. You can use any web browser on your computer, phone, or tablet to access DeviantArt. If you're not signed in, click the Sign In option at the top-right corner of the page to do so now.
- Due to App Store standards, the iPhone and iPad version of the DeviantArt app does not have an option that allows you to view mature content.[1]
- If the birthday you entered when you created your account is less than 18 years old, the option to enable mature content will not be available. The only way to bypass the mature filter is to create a new account and enter a birthday that is over 18 years old. See this method to learn how.
2
Click or tap your profile image. It's near the top-right corner of the page. If you have not selected a profile image for your account, select the image that resembles a person.

- Due to App Store standards, the iPhone and iPad version of the DeviantArt app does not have an option that allows you to view mature content.[2] See this method to learn how to make the change in your browser.
2
Tap your profile image. It's in the upper-right corner of the app. If you have not selected a profile image, tap the icon that resembles a person.
3
Tap the gear icon. It's near the top-right corner of the screen.
4
Tap the toggle switch next to "View mature content." It's at the bottom of the settings menu. You can now view adult content using the DeviantArt mobile app on your Android.

Method 3 of 3:
Creating a New Mature Account
Download Article
1
Navigate to https://www.deviantart.com in a web browser. If you aren't able to bring up the option to enable mature content on DeviantArt's website or in the Android app, your account is likely set to an age below 18. This method will help you create a new mature account you can use to view mature materials. You can use any web browser on your computer, phone, or tablet to create a new account.
- If you are automatically signed in to your current account, you will need to sign out before you can create a new account. To sign out, click or tap your profile image in the upper-right corner and select Log Out to do so.
2
Click the profile icon. It's the outline of a person at the top-right corner of the page.
3
Click Join DevantArt. It's near the middle of the menu.
4
Enter a new username. You can use any username that is not already taken. If you see red text that says the username is already taken, try something new.
5
Enter and confirm your email address. Type your email address exactly the same into both the "Add your email" and "Confirm your email" blanks. Be sure to choose an address you can access immediately, as you'll need it to confirm your account.
6
Choose a password. Make sure you choose a strong password with a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters.
7
Select a birthday that is older than 18 years old. Use the "Month," "Day," and "Year" drop-down menus to select a birthday. Since DeviantArt has no way of confirming your birthday, you can select any birthday.
8
Click or tap the Next button. It's at the bottom of the page. This sends a confirmation message to your email address.
9
Open the verification email. Look for an email from DeviantArt. You may need to check under "Social", "Promotion", "Junk" or "Spam" to find the email.
- If you cannot find the confirmation email, click the option to resend a confirmation email on the DeviantArt sign up page.
10
Click the Confirm my email button. This takes you to a login screen, where you'll be asked to sign in with the new username and password you created.
11
Sign in with your new mature account. Signing in validates your email address and allows you to make account modifications, including setting the option to bypass the mature filter.
12
Click your profile image. It's near the top-right corner of the page. If you have not selected a profile image for your account, select the image that resembles a person.
13
Click the circle next to "Display Mature Content." It's near the bottom of the menu. This adds a checkmark to the circle, which allows you to view mature content on DeviantArt.
